The PC Ceramx (ceramics) Collective aims to create a safe space for students of all backgrounds on the PC campus, where all voices are heard and appreciated. We want to encourage students to explore the medium of ceramics, and the important role it can play in their lives. Our discussions will revolve around the contemporary and historical practices of ceramics, important social issues and their influence on our art, and how students can develop their voice in the art community, among other topics. Our student members will critically reflect on and improve their art, and will create a body of work that consists of independent, long-term projects and shorter, whole-group projects.

The Providence College Dance Club is a student-run organization developed with the goal of giving all PC students the opportunity to dance throughout their college years. The Providence College Finance Society provides an environment where students can apply what they have learned from past experience and what they have learned in the classroom in a structured forum. This society is meant to be all encompassing across the broad spectrum of interests within the financial services industry. Members will be exposed to speakers and companies in the industry, take an active role in the organization by way of weekly meetings, and will be given the chance to network with their peers and professionals. The ultimate goal of the PCFS is to promote a culture in which members are engaged with each other, the society, and the greater financial services industry. As of 2019, the Blockchain Club and the Real Estate Club have been added as sections of the Finance Society for students who are interested in developing a better understanding of these segments of the finance industry. More recently, the Risk Management Club has been added to the Finance Society. In addition, the Finance Society has launched the Student-Led Asset Management (SLAM) Program. SLAM allows students to learn – hands-on, in real time – how to invest across different classes of assets, including equity, fixed income, and alternatives.

We perform at the end of each semester and each dance if choreographed by dancers with at least one semester of experience on the club. When an individual is suspected of violating a regulation, the leaders of the group are responsible for coordinating the disciplinary process. ​​SHEPARD is a support group for all members of the LGBTQ+ community who choose to become involved. The name is an acronym that stands for Stopping Homophobia, Eliminating Prejudice and Restoring Dignity. The name was also chosen in part to commemorate Matthew Shepard, a student at University of Wyoming who was brutally murdered in 1998 in an event that remains one of the most discussed LGBT hate crimes in modern American History.

​​​Members of the club represent parts of the LGBTQ+ community and people from any walk of life are welcome to take part in the events held by this club throughout the year. Events that have been held by this club include LGBTQ+ Awareness Week, Day of Silence, World AIDS Day, Trans Day of Remembrance, and many wonderful others.

Urban Action sponsors a five day program for incoming first-year students. This program is designed to increase students’ understanding of urban issues while also introducing them to the Providence community. Through UA, students spend three days volunteering at local sites in the city of Providence, and one day volunteering on campus helping fellow classmates move in. Through dedication to service and reflection, they make a difference in their new community. This is also a great opportunity to meet other students and to learn more about Providence College.

Urban Action activities conclude in time for students to fully participate in Fall Orientation. Registrations are accepted on a first come-first served basis. The program capacity is 80 students. There is no cost for participation. Students will be notified in mid-July if they are accepted into the program.
